Some of the most common symptoms of diabetes include excessive hunger and thirst, frequent urination, blurred vision, and slow healing wounds. If you start noticing any of these, one of the easiest and most accurate at home tests for diabetes would be a blood sugar test.
You will need a blood sugar meter to take the diabetes test. This meter will consist of a small number of test strips and a small needle called a lancet. Thoroughly wash your hands to get rid of any impurity or sugar residue and read all the instructions carefully before before taking the test. According to the CDC, normal fasting blood sugar should be between 70-130 mg/dl. Within two hours of eating, readings should be less than 180 mg/dl

Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease, where the body’s immune system mistakenly starts attacking the insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas. Eventually, in the absence of insulin, body stops absorbing glucose, which is required to produce energy. To compensate for the same, the patients have to be injected with insulin.

Type 2 diabetes is characterized by the body refusing to use the insulin produced by it, a condition called ‘insulin resistance’. The body tries to make up for it by producing more insulin, which in turn pressurizes the beta-cells and destroys them over time.

The Diabee management program takes complete care of your diabetes needs. From planning your personalized diet charts to lifestyle changes, customized exercise plan, lab tests, monitoring and medication, a multidisciplinary care team gives you 360 Degree Diabetes Management from control to treatment.

Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) is a qualified healthcare professional who is proficient and updated in everything related to diabetes and personally educates and supports people affected by diabetes through the course of their treatment. This means a CDE shall guide you on glucose testing, medication dosage, how to inject insulin, coping with any stress, and will promote overall self-care.

Diabee has a team of qualified and experienced CDEs to help you manage your Diabetes effectively and efficiently.
